The way you were walking oob reminds me of the seizure palace skip in XXL2, where Asterix lands on a far above ceiling ( the skybox? ) and get pushed a bit too.

question still is what triggered the delay in the end? Can't actually be something of the cheat enginges, since I didn't press anything at this moment and none of the cheats would effect something in the middle of this cutscene
Maybe your harddrive was a bit slow, so loading the level segment took slightly too long?
I don't know if someone found this already, but there is a way to get out of bounds in Normandy. Pretty useless though.

And it is possible to get a potion in the area... Can't see it being faster ever if there a way to get passed the barrier... But still really cool
useless but cool. I tried the same thing at the Normandy Viking Fight and couldn't get oob :/
you get the potion when you push all four buttons in the water - which would lose you about 2 Minutes
