Do you really NEED to vectorize Asterix? We're not making this 4k, as far as I know! Remember my XXL 1 cover? The only Vectorisation was for the "XXL", and I even took it upon myself to smooth the lightning!
What I'd suggest is placing the Asterix render at the same size and position, and only keep from it what's hidden by "Atari"
And with a bit of scrambling, we won't see the difference, since they are not 2 different scans. We're really lucky.
Even Sonic only need the replacement of the tip of his shoe.
I think I'll make my version later, you'll see what I mean.

The T-shirt doesn't even need a scale up with what we have.
The printing precision is actually slightly lower
Trust me, I see the actual thing below my eyes. The original image you made is far more detailled. But that's the best you could get on a Tee
Really, in my opinion, vectorising doesn't solve everything.
The t-shirt design you got was vectorized
Maybe, but you can't see that on the Tee. You see some sort of pixelisation on the edges however.
