Yes, I started the game and no cutscene was shown.

The edges are pretty pixelated too, even with the Ipatix module.

Normally the videos are on the disc, if you don't play with the disc then you need to copy the "Video" folder from the disc/ISO to the game's installed folder.

In the settings you can increase the screen resolution and antialiasing.
