I know, communism and such, but could there be other reasons why he wants Asterix to collect so many helmets (and laurels) in XXL, when he doesn't ever want to keep any of them?

There is another theory tho Caesar sends Sam to sabotage Asterix because he knew that they will try to save others Sam turned out to be a pussy and didnt came up with anything better other then forcing asterix do dangerous slides and slow them down
