Playing on real PS2 uh? Well, back then for other game i got an Avermedia LGP for 110€... 3 years ago so i should be cheaper today. Using an SD card it also could record PC-less.
But watch out, the input and outputs are HDMI, you would need a ( cheap ) HDMI to composite adapter
There are many capture cards you can buy to record PS2 stuff.
But what's so special in that video? I can't tell

They spawn behind that pillar
Well actually we can use that in the same area!
And the combo is big enough to toast them
There'a pillar in the main room that spawns the Sonics
and even with just a flame hammer it can kill like 20-30 in one go
I think in my latest lame run i had nearly 50 of them like that
