I suppose he gets trough the gate while cutscene is on
i didn't tried this trick yet
Like no collision happens while in those
But maybe if you are being knocked back while, you can still move :D
there are two options, or we have to activate the lever after moving to the other side ( cage side ), or we just have to do it for the first time after seeing first boss cutscene
we have to check it out, but it looks promising

So what happens is that you go through the disabled gate.

I think I can be sure now
once I jumped to the other side after earlier death and I was stuck on the door
an other think totally useless maybe if you do a simple jump over and over the boss will only do a simple ball fire
