Anyway, in segmented level runs, you're allowed access to everything prior to the current level you're playing.
Which is why we separated them from Full game segments, which simply tell the best times you can get when doing the full any% run, potentially slower.
As, also, you are not required to aquire anything you could need in a later world
That reminds me we might have to update the left column...
Did you want to say "allowed" instead of "required" in your sentence : "As, also, you are not required to aquire anything you could need in a later world" ?
And the left column is supposed to update with the current runs in the leaderboard ?
No, that's the issue, we have to submit everything manually
So there might be times here beaten by Failentin
You can submit two types of segmented runs.
Full-run Any% : You link the video where you were attempting a full game any%, and have made a best time in a specific level.
Any%: Finish one level as fast as possible. If there are levels before your current one, your savefile from which you start is allowed to contain every upgrade you could purchase in those precedent levels. If there are levels after your current one, you don't need to collect whatever you would need to complete the next levels faster.
So if you run Helvetia in Any%, you can have purchased Power Hammer or even Mole combo from previous world. You do not need to buy the Twister for Egypt.
If you run Normandy, you don't need to make any helmet collection strat for a future purchase of Twister.
Doing Any% segmented runs requires you to prepare some save files accordingly to maximize your times in each segment.
Ok got it. Thanks for the detailled explanation !
Hopefully, I'll upload my new Any% PB soon 🙂
@Nekin Thanks for giving me a reason to run the game again.
With an insane Helvetia btw
