-in fact, that's the only fight with a lock in the whole game we can't skip, right?
No,we also can't skip first battle in Greece by consistent setup
yeah, I mean only theoretically :p
In Egypt it is consistent, but hard
In Greece,maybe too,but...
My idea didn't work out, it doesn't work that way.
I think further
After a bit of tryharding, I got a 15:07 Normandy ^^
Not a real full-any%, since I didn't play Gaul, but shows what could be possible in a real run ^^
So I guess it really saves about 20 secs, huh
Did you get the flybash right in the beginning?
is it consistant for you, or are you having trouble to get an empty elevator?
Compared to my full-any gold, it's 12s faster
not at all consistent... but what I'm trying to do is to fill the combo bar with a group of Romans that stands next to me after destroying the army, without really caring whether I kill them or not. Then I go to the multiplier crates and hit one additional Roman when I have the opportunity to. Then I do the flybash, jump down as soon as I have 9000 helmets and go to the elevator.
Now, if the elevator is empty by luck, my job is done and I just play as usual. If there are multiple Romans on the elevator, I beat them and hit the Roman that we always push (the combo bar should still be enough). If there is only one Roman on the elevator, however, the combo bar might very well run out too early and it'd be back to Gaul. Maybe we could kill that one with Idefix and the grabbing attack and keep flybash, though?
When you say : "not consistent at all", I assume you're talking about the first part, and not about the whole process of jumping on the tunnel ceil and skipping the fight, right ?
the latter is 100% consistent for me still ^^
