an extended jump towards the entrance, then a small second jump

yep, and this camera position has the advantage that you only have to pull the joystick down and nothing can go wrong

And once you're on the ceil, how do you make sure you don't activate the lock ?

move through the tunnel until you're close to the ledge where you'd fall off, then turn the camera so that Asterix is facing to the camera and you see the outer wall. Now it's important that you do a double jump out of the ceiling and fall right into the right corner after the tunnel. If you lost height too early or land too close to the Romans, you'll activate the lock. After you landed in the corner, run against the wall on the right until the fireplace is directly on your path.

and don't forget to double-jump your way through the tunnel ceiling, so that you don't loose speed on uneven collision ^^

I don't know if it's useful, but if you fear Obelix beating enemies up, you can use the button to make him throw them at you, so he just throws instead of killing.
