I'm just experimenting what I can do with what ImGui offers without going into much details.
sure thing, I have nothing against it
but understand as well my point
i am twisted on quality
when i am doing something it has a bar of quality i am meeting always
there has to be at least some bare minimum of looking good
i just cant stand sometimes butching some principles especially when i studied all of that, it just triggers my brain as a person who has been into design for pretty long time
anyways many people many opinions
I fully understand,
while of course it's good to try to make the best of what you can do, sometimes it's not necessary
Like we could keep talking about changing backgrounds, colors, etc. to make it look good,
but if we would do that it would take a lot of time that is better spent somewhere else.
Since it is an editor, it is NOT expected to have good UX because few people would use it they probably wouldn't mind on how the editor would look like.
I could try to improve the UI a bit, like what we are doing with the toolbars with the icons, which has a use in that you can quickly identify features and access them, then with previous menu.
But how the toolbar and the rest looks like, this is less of a priority to me.
For UI I'm more interested into the functional part than the graphical side.
i will try to be less of nitpicking ass, thats fine by me
i can be overwhelming sometimes
I do try to be open to suggestions on the looks, but it doesn't mean that I will implement them, especially if it would require more work on my side.
I won't however discourage anyone from experimenting with that, maybe some things could eventually be implemented at some release.
But for the next release v0.3, I would like to release it at some point, so I don't really want to take looks into priority.
sure thing thats understandable
Adrien, you should try out the font "Ubuntu Mono" for the editor, it's a nice default windows font.
Yeah that could be interesting.
It's open and is monofont.
editor needs some neutral not fancy font
