So I just pushed the animation viewer, it might be not obvious to use so I prepared a little tuto showing one way (of many) to display animations.
First open the Animation viewer window (available under the "white triangle" icon), then:
1. Select a hook, can be either in the Hook tree (1a) or by clicking the model in the scene that has a hook (such as Asterix, 1b).
2. Drag-drop the "Node" item from the Hook window, to the "Node object" item in the Animation viewer window.
3. Find a "Animation dictionary" in the hook properties, expand it, and click one of the "Play" buttons.
4. Click "Move to camera" to place the animation in front of the camera.
