mr.rubinshtein
that epic moment when i have gone through multiple servers for retro modding and none of them were able to help me with modding of thomson and amstrad consoles
mr.rubinshtein
and they call themselves retro modding communities
mr.rubinshtein
:WeirdChampR:
mr.rubinshtein
what is also interesting that i figured out is the way amstrad console handles the files
mr.rubinshtein
if with die odyssee we had one file and pretty much everything was combined there and it was easy to export the source code in amstrad we have a sequence of several files at least 2 for sure
mr.rubinshtein
how would one modify those files and insert it back?
mr.rubinshtein
i think the only solution so far is directly somehow modifying the game right inside the emulator
mr.rubinshtein
so you have access to all the files
mr.rubinshtein
i can say for sure that these two files handle the whole code loader is the introduction of the game with text and JEU itself is the actual game AST file is impossible to load because it fills up the memory right away and BANQUET is some sort of executable or something for the game
mr.rubinshtein
what is even more funny is that when you use assembler to view the source code and try to compile it it brings you 2 errors which prevent the code from compiling it :LUL:
mr.rubinshtein
will leave this source here it seems i found a way on how export it properly then edit and compile it back hopefully https://www.amstrad-noob.com/2020/09/11/disassembling-my-old-code-from-1988-part-1/
mr.rubinshtein
you can disassemble the code in emulator and save it as .asm then edit it with notepad++ after which you can import it back into the emulator and see results
mr.rubinshtein
but now the thing itself is that the disassembled code makes no sense at all
mr.rubinshtein
my brain hurts :Notlikethis:

To be honest, I really dunno who they are
rubinho146
I think Adrien should debug this game
