So the first time you do the slide you get a lock, after that you have to talk to Sam manually, but there are pirates nearby that need to be killed (you should be able to build up a combo to use tornado with a bit of luck). If you do the slide again, now without the lock, the cutscene will trigger automatically after the slide. If you didn't get all the helmets on the slide it might still be possible to farm some helmets in the area, but that is probably too difficult

ye, iirc if you move a bit, you get switch to asterix; or after the upcomming lock
