In the events of LVL000 you will see an event used by the AsterixGameManager, click on it and remove the two contained events. Then simply add another one with ID 530B and set the target to the CKAsterixGameManager. Now you won't need to watch the intro cutscene

Could you provide more details on what you have done? Normally, if you create a XXL1 project through the XXL Editor, it creates a new copy of the game with some additional patching to make modding possible. In the folder of the project you should see a patched GameModule that will work with the modded levels.
