Would a no-damage-mod be theoretically easy to make? I mean a mod where you can do runs normally, but if you take any damage or die anywhere, you get instantly killed, and at the end of the cutscene, you return to the title screen? ^^ That would be funny for damageless challenges.

You can also take one of the normal areas from XXL first as arena, like the ghaul roman camp. So you don't have to create an arena-area yourself.

It shouldn't be too difficult to use the existing Randomizer architecture to code a program that procedually creates x amount of waves with y * z types of enemies and adds a boss once in a while...

The Randomizer already can insert any enemy into any level and change the squads, which is half the work of your mod. Difficulty settings could be made by just changing the parameters in the randomizer settings, like the amount of enemies per wave...
