@everyone Hi, sorry for the ping in advance... It has come to my attention that I've been given ownership of the server. I don't mind it, just be aware that as a very busy individual, I won't be very active, but I've always been happy to stay as the earliest known XXL speedrunner and the one that can tell the whole story. You must also be aware that the other XXL related Discord, Gaulish Gaming Banquet, originally centered around modding XXL, is a place I'd ask anyone to be careful with if visiting that server: It has been revealed to me that some of the people in charge there have grown more and more pushy and pressuring its wiki team to the point where one got unfairly banned and another defected after being overworked. So please be on your guard, and in order to keep this community safe, I've no choice but to consider two specific members of the other Discord server unwelcome here, and will be banned if seen joining this server. Hopefully such a thing should never happen considering they aren't interested in speedrunning. Since 2018-19 their presence in the community has always created controversy, tensions, all the way until Yarny had enough and closed the original server. There's a good reason why in Yarny's server they never became moderators. So for our sake, I won't allow them here. It's maybe even in our best interest to not let them know this server even exists, I don't think they're aware so far and it's best that way. On a last note, please welcome Feurus Fushus, a formerly amazing Asterix Wiki writer, in our server, as he takes refuge from those who mistreated him. I will also consider leaving the GGB shortly, as there's no reason for me to be around that place anymore, I can still DM good friends who may not be here. Let's work together, fellows, in keeping this community, the true successor of the original server and its initial goals, a safe place to express ourselves and have fun, in the unique and precious sport that is speedrunning. I look forward to your runs, everyone.

# MMR Speedrunning event Hey there! @balneor is here from the **Misfit Mascot Relay community (MMR for short)** to inform you about organized by them, upcoming 4th event which is taking place on `14 september 2024 12:00` and will last between 12-14 hours. Their event is based around team based relay races which focus on lesser known games/mascots, where each team member will complete a run of their speedgame, and hand over to the next member in the team to complete their run. First team to complete all of their games first is declared the winner. Their community have voted on numerous games to be involved, with one of those games being **Asterix and Obelix XXL!** Before you submit, you should all discuss what category you want to submit for. Once a category has been decided on, then you can submit via the Oengus link below your current PB as your estimate (As we balance out teams based on PBs rather than estimates).
