just a fun pointless observation from my *ancient* VHS recording of XXL on PS2: when a multiplier goes out and X starts going off-screen, it can show up all the way to the left side of the screen for a brief instant

Showing that the HUD obeys the *left is right and up is down* rule of programming

It shouldn't be a glitch caused by the tape, as it has clear black borders in all directions properly shutting down overscan issues.

If you look closely, the X also goes down by one row... so maybe there's something more to that which we have no idea about.
