There was at one point an entry of the games list in wikipedia that read "Asterix: Champions of Gaul (Wii U), (Nintendo 3ds), (PlayStation 4), (Xbox One) (Fall 2014) (Ubisoft)".

but I cannot find any credible source that that game was ever planned

the only thing that was released in 2014 was Mansion of the Gods by Big Ben Interactive, maybe there was some mix up

at that point, the last Asterix game was a minigame collection for the DS by Ubisoft in 2009, so most likely someone made a wrong assumption that the new game would be developed by Ubisoft too.
