I mean its a solid Thumbnail, but the Original was unique and a funny metajoke as the whole game
It was literally a parody of the GTA boxes, the references really went all the way
I think back to the time I started playing XXL 3 which I quickly stopped because it bored me, and my opinion with the little of the game that I had played was that "it doesn't seem to be a bad Asterix game, but a bad XXL"
Like, I remember this developer interview for the first XXL where their goal was really not to just make a comic book adaptation into a video game but simply to make the characters of Asterix and Obelix as video game heroes directly. I honestly think that having opted for this philosophy largely contributed to the fact that the games were really good.
And that's a feeling that I didn't find in XXL 3, and I had the impression that it was a feeling that was lost in XXL 2 even though it was only a remaster (The change in character design, the colors, the poor menus, etc.)
It had 2 GTA references even
The lineart is an exact replica of the GTA SA cover lineart and Mission Las Vegum is in the Vice City font
