On PS1, the overclock accelerates a few things, hence the gap
btw when speedrunning the shield bash minigame, i found out that Obelix has the weakest range in special attack, making him miss often. Unless you choose Obelix for the journey, it's faster to defeat him.
Mrs Geriatrix and Cacofonix are decent, but Asterix is by far the fastest attacker
@kolapro @cheekychunk found a little timesave! in camp demolition, it seems that at least the 3rd and last regular centurion is an optional target.
might be a pain to avoid him tho
if you spare first centurion, 2nd and 3rd won't spawn untill you get the boss!
Finished a camp with 121 time bonus and got knocked down 2 or 3 times
I'm fairly certain there's a couple seconds to gain no having to fight 2 more centurions
other romans are optional too

oh so I suppose we could spare the 1st centurion and kill 2nd and 3rd
as long as the boss is alive
