Yeah you won't tp from the bottom crate like that. You need to get stuck in between 2 crates (you recall you tried this in the area after this?) and have the one below you break. So you need 3 crates in total.
This is easier in that obelix will break the crate for you (and you don't have to do it yourself, which you've tried and it didn't work)
So I shouldn't break top crate and fall down somehow, I see

You should do it on the 3 stack
Get in, break one of the crates & have one fall on you, so you get stuck. Then just obelix needs to break the crate below you.
