It's happened, Asterix & Obelix - Mission Babylon is finally released. For the whole day from the initial release there's only 4 reviews on the game so far :eee:

I fear that Albert-René is an aging company feeling very, very disconnected from the modern world, uninterested in making sure their property is adapted in videogames with quality control. Goscinny would be furious... reminder that the first Asterix animated movie was made without his consent, he was shown the finished product and was so upset he made sure the 2 sequels in preparation were cancelled, and put himself in charge of Asterix & Cleopatra. Yeah, the first movie was considered *bad* by Goscinny. He never lived to see any Astérix videogame come to life, maybe for his own good.

Ingeneral I'd care for modern asterix games *if* they wouldn't be come by Microids. I have hope for every new game until I know more about it (like Microids in this case). The good thing: The ealier the hope dies in each instance, the easier it is to proceed with the next one.

yes, the reviews are funny, but they played only 20 minutes. But also Microids Asterix games are so rushed.

I don't like the first Asterix movie either. You can see hair in the pictures xD and not once, its like 40% of the movie.

Microids seems to have no involvement with *Asterix & Obelix: Heroes*, but I don't think a card game would interest this server, I abandoned it on Stage 2
