but how far does copyright go? It makes sense for "copying" because, well, it is what the name says. A layer would be usefull for such cases. they know much more than we do

well... I know a case from Activision against a developer of EngineOwning (Cheat Developer for many Games). They filled out a law suit against this guy, because he just reversed Call of Duty WW2 **IN BETA** befor the actuall game was out and he just created cheats for that. They agreed on he had to leave the cheating-scene, or atleast this specific place OR has to pay alot of money that he wouldn't have. He had choosen the first option.

That's dumb of the person- in most cases you first get notified of your wrongdoings by their legal teams (in less high profile cases), to cease your shit... if you don't comply, well...
