so looking at the runs in this category and watching a bit of the currently 1st place run (not the 1st place in the pic), i now know how i could get a faster time

Color me surprised, I didn't know that XXL2 and XXLR had larger framerate caps than their originals. XXL2 goes up to 90 in gameplay, 150~ in menus, and XXLR has no visible limit: framerate variable from 70 to 150 in romaster mode, and 150-200 in original mode. Seeing the original game at such a high refresh rate feels surreal.

I got a 240Hz monitor when I built my desktop... and the extra fluidity simply by reaching 120 is insane.
