I tried this trick for the first time ever on the PS2 version I got a couple of days ago. I was so excited that it actually worked :Merchant:

Here's the only things I can observe: the collision rectangle for the whole ocean is placed above the restricted collision.

So here's my theory: we may only be restricted in movement from below while we are swimming.

As long as we are airborne, we are free to proceed further and land in the main ocean's collision.

Not sure, but try disabling DPI scaling in the EXE's compatibility settings.

For windowed mode I don't use DxWnd, instead I modified the EXE as there is a bool variable that makes the game run in window mode.

You can change the resolution simply by resizing the window.
