#editor

mr.rubinshtein
when you tick the developer mode you see all of it
pegperegogaucho
thats a lot of work
mr.rubinshtein
is it?
pegperegogaucho
Adrien should update the documentation and then you could try using the editor again, then we should come back to this discussion
mr.rubinshtein
the whole thing is if we are starting to record tutorials the UI should be more or less specified
pegperegogaucho
Maybe proper explanations will clear up confusion and make the process of deciding where the UI is bad less clouded
adrientd
You make it sound like the entire UI of editor is confusing, meaning I would have to redesign everything from scratch, which is a lot :LUL:
adrientd
And yes I agree with Spork, some confusion could be simply due to lack of documentation
adrientd
UI itself might be fine if the user has some knowledge about the different concepts used in the game
adrientd
Because the user doesn't have to learn using the editor, they also have to learn how the actual game engine works
adrientd
And my editor does assume you know how the game actually works, and even uses the terminology used by the game engine
mr.rubinshtein
adrientd
So I think the most important thing is to documentate not the editor, but the Kal engine
mr.rubinshtein
i think besides Kal documentation you need to take care of UI
mr.rubinshtein
Kal documentation is indeed extremely important
mr.rubinshtein
but you need to as well give people ability to see things simple
mr.rubinshtein
its a stick of both ends no solid documentation and good explanation in a simple way what does what
mr.rubinshtein
and of course the tool UI which wasnt updated since the very beginning of it
pegperegogaucho
cam you sum up your point rubin?
mr.rubinshtein
A) Write extremely detailed documentation of Kal engine that uses small amount of smart words but keeps general terminology B) Make editor UI less saturated and piled up and make it more "colorful" and user friendly
