The other effects are already used by the game, so they should work.

Bump map is the only one that was never used
pegperegogaucho
really? even dual textures?
adrientd
yes
pegperegogaucho
where?
adrientd
often combined with UV animation
adrientd
in fact you never see dual textures without UV animation
pegperegogaucho
ah yes true
pegperegogaucho
it is used for the water streams
adrientd
I don't know exactly which models use, but I made printf all effect types while loading all levels from all games, and you often see environment maps (specular), dual textures and UV anim
adrientd
yup, probably anything with UV animations has dual textures
pegperegogaucho
no, lava for example has none
pegperegogaucho
Anyways, can dragonff even export bump maps and dual textures? :FrogThinking:
adrientd
Yes
adrientd
but at least for bump maps, it is very confusing
adrientd
There is an explanation on their wiki: https://github.com/Parik27/DragonFF/wiki/Materials#bump-map
adrientd
You have to put the bump map into the material's "Normal map"
adrientd
This is the first confusing thing, since the bump map used in Renderware is actually an height map, not a normal map.
adrientd
Meaning that you have to put a height map and use it as a normal map, which makes no sense and you will see nonsensical renders of your model while doing it:
mr.rubinshtein
hmm thats cool that there is a now the ability to add bump maps in editor
