Maybe soon I'll translate this one to portuguese
There was a guy who did a brazilian translation
Hmm but the guy did only for Romastered
@adrientd It's moving along very well. But font is jumping a bit here and there. It's not crucial, but I prefer it to be same size. I've set same vertical size on all of the letters, but it seems that it has no overall effect. What's the "w/h" parameter? Width/Height?
Oh, I think I have solution in mind. I'll just line up all of characters and letters in a row and re-do all UV settings all over again.
Yes, w/h is the width divided by the height. I think the editor computes it automatically, but if you change it you can change the width of the character without changing the UVs. For example if w/h is 1, the game renders the character as a square.
I edited fonts and started replacing text, but when I test in game, there is just no text whatsoever.
Everything is blank for some reason. I edited both Russian and English letters into one French file (I plan to do French VO and Russian text for now), maybe there is a limit on texture size? Or something else.
I think it has to do with font picture size. Because last time I had no issues and this time I've changed the square picture to a straight line without having to worry about correct aspect ratio of each individual letter. I guess that what it is.
That depends on the resolution. GPUs and graphics APIs have a limit on the texture width (for D3D9 I think it mist be around 4096, or even less), so if you have characters on a single line, then the texture width is probably going to be very long, and creating such texture on the GPU would probably failn
That's true, I went over 12000, so that's why it was failing to render letters properly. I revert back to smaller scale. First test show everything is in proper state. Too bad you can't center every letter, I'll have to do it manually.
Yeah, I think fonts textures have to be made automatically. There are some font generators for this, but I have yet to make it possible to import such fonts. And also need to find one that can embed custom characters for button icons and such.
https://ibb.co/yNwc006 Letters are jumping because I'm using higher font size than it's supposed tied to the grid. That's why I wanted to make it in one line, but I guess I overdid it.
Custom Icons would be cool, maybe re-draw them with higher resolution.
sad there is no russian mettler variation it would look stylized and cool
but ye fixing the jumpy letters will fix the situation
https://ibb.co/PGcpNr9 here is how old original font looks.
It might take me another few hours of fine tunning, I'll the best I can.
