I did work with Xbox 360 files to open the 360 port of Olympic Games, and I managed to convert textures/models, but I haven't tested with Spyro yet if it even works, but if it does that might be an option if you want to get high-res textures and models.
I know how difficult reverse engineering is, so it's really impressive that you managed to make a 3D level editor for multiple games

I think what helps me a lot is to have knowledge: know how games are made, how to program, and especially be able to think how the devs could implement parts, and why, etc.
