Not entirely so that it changes the whole vibe but enough that it’s easier to capture new audiences
The format has worked but it’s getting real stale
It doesnt help that the accompanying media like games are utter dogshit
Plants vs zombies copy, microids slop
Expensive ass statues with bad paint
Say, imagine the same stories of Goscinny’s, taking ideas like those and sticking more closely to dramatic and prolongued storylines with stakes, while retaining the ridiculousness of the characters and the slapstick
Asterix is not Asterix without the funny
But of course they would need some sudden big advertising for such a resurgence
Luckily, they have enough money for a theme park
I’m sure they could be capable of something so
A new movie could maybe save the franchise
But they already did that
Besides there’s not much they could possibly do with movies
What drives the franchise at the core are the comics
The movies really only ever are adaptations of them
Degroids have resources and money for a proper game, but they too dumb or French to do it...
