||I was begging it was a rickroll tbh||
oh i see now. Nice work haha
Well, if someone has their account compromised here you'd likely be the first to alarm for foulplay!
I already mentioned that on other Discords where I am Sup/Moderator/Admin so everyone knows about.
Being up to date with the scam/phishing methods is always good to be.
If you ever replay PS2 XXL1, Rally, we should get your ISO patched to not crash when buying the last gallery piece. Should completing the game ever tickle your interest, it is possible since earlier this March thanks to a patch. it's a python script.
At the time of writing this, the PS2/Gamecube versions of these games are still fierce competitors in accessibility thanks to PCSX2 and Dolphin just rocking in 2024, and the PC versions while working, need extra maintenance here and there to get working as intended and unless you speedrun it ain't really worth the hassle until we make things 2-click easy.
No need for 64-bit patching, no messy controller support, no broken 3D audio, the only downsides still in emulation are the PC power needed ( not as high as it used to be ), the mono music, and not instantaneous loading times ( you can still fast forward.... ) Oh, and Anti-aliasing is better handled by the emulators on some aspects.
Took a little longer than I'd expected, but I think I got there. Nice and easy, all things considered.
It helps to not be an idiot and, for some reason, think XXL was released on PS1.
Now it's just on me to actually 100% it at some point, but it's good to know that's a thing I can do now.
I've never 100%ed XXL1 - ok, maybe with cheats but that doesn't count lol
Pretty sure it is a huge pain XD
It's just an awful lot of helmets to grind for and the slide levels are things that exist, it *surely* can't be that bad.
*inb4 foreshadowing decides to become a literary device*
Just don't try to 100% the PS2 version of XXL
It has a cursed image gallery where if you try to buy a certain piece of Image 11 the game crashes
well, as I said earlier Braixy, it's now patchable, since March ^^
just, of course, unless you have a modded PS2, a real disc cannot do that, you'd need a burned DVD containing the patch and a modded console to experience 100% on real hardware.
So apparently past-me had stopped the grind and moved on to XXL 2..
..AT THE FINAL PAYWALL TO GETTING ALL GALLERY PIECES.
Something that, apparently, would've crashed my game had I attempted it the first time around.
Finally, past-me's psychic powers did something right!
Yup hahaha. And I faced that bug way back in late 03 or early 04.... knew not to do it again!
And it took 20 years and 5 months to see this error undone.
