It took me to talk about the issue in the PCSX2 Discord, because while an old build of PCSX2 actually bypassed the error due to very bad and inaccurate CDVD implementation, modern PCSX2 was now on par with real hardware and its console was actually spitting information about a disc sector it had trouble reading, despite the lengths being seemingly correct and the actual file not corrupted within the disc. Someone came forward to study the problem and I think it took him a day to come up with a solution. Also, we probably would have found out sooner if I had remembered to peer into the US version who patched the problem the same way he ended up doing, by extending the game's contents in a way that the last file occupies a now 100% filled sector instead of being only partially filled.
Oh, yeah i should mention, you'll find the file and instructions in # ! each major game has a dedicated page for those, and not everything is for the PC versions.
Oh I found it, hence the funny story of "if I'd kept going for about ten more minutes in autumn of last year, I would've encountered the crash, but because I didn't, it was incredibly easy to finish the last little bit it'd take to 100% (I think) it."

Yup. 50k paywall, about 4k at hand. Ten minutes. Deciding to stop when I did and the rest of the last year-or-so going the way it has was accidentally genius.
XXL2 is far easier on the postcard grind. Find the SeizeUs gambling machine that always wins, and you'll after a few minutes hit the 999.999 golden cap, from which your count will, for some reason, never go down, you have infinite money.
