It's perfectly fine if you're still at the basics
thewitheredstriker
I don't judge at all
filip5011
stico 🥺
jenjenparibou
Oh, thank you :)
thewitheredstriker
Very interesting. I'm an aspiring Minecraft modder as well. Who knows, maybe I can learn from you when I get to modding the game lol
jenjenparibou
I'm not that much into it right now, but it's a skill I really want to improve in the future
thewitheredstriker
That's fair, I'd be down to help you out when I've gotten at a good level myself
jenjenparibou
I'll keep your proposition in mind, friend :)
thewitheredstriker
=)
thewitheredstriker
Out of curiosity btw, what programming language was this in?
jenjenparibou
Hmm, I think it was C++
jenjenparibou
Very bad language to start with lol
thewitheredstriker
That's correct, but I don't judge either way
thewitheredstriker
Contrary to what many claim, there objectively is no such thing as an "ideal beginner's language"
thewitheredstriker
Everyone experiences their initial steps differently
jenjenparibou
A few months after that, I tried out Python, but I quickly realised that it was probably just as hard
jenjenparibou
I totally agree
thewitheredstriker
Some people feel the most comfortable with Python, others start with C#, yet others pick Java, C++ or even something else
thewitheredstriker
It's not a shame to use "beginner's languages" like Python, Pascal or Visual Basic, nor is it stupid to begin with a harder language like C++, Scala or Lisp
jenjenparibou
"Easier" programming languages are just as hard as the hard ones, it's just that the lurning curve is slightly better at the start
