Really, the best advice is to just pick whatever language appeals most to you and to stick with it for a while
I only did textures though 😅
Block out all other languages except for that one, and move on to the next once you've gotten comfortable enough in your beginner's pick
Oh, Java and C++ looked really good to me at the time
DON'T try to learn multiple languages at once. I tried this and suffered.
Instead, knock them down one by one.
It's just like learning multiple languages at the time lol
Yep.
Also, if you find that your beginner's pick isn't working out for you, it's not a shame to put it in the freezer for a while and then come back to it.
I initially tried to start with F#, but after struggling with basic exercises, I decided that learning something like C# might be better, and that I can then come back to F# later.
It's not a shame to move languages in the beginning, as long as you ultimately stick with one.
These are some helpful advices you got there
For example, if you find yourself struggling with C++ and feeling like that language "isn't it", a good thing to do is to put it aside for a bit, learn another "beginner's pick" (like Java), and then come back to finish C++ later using the newly acquired skill, thinking patterns and problem-solving methods you learned in the other languages. It's perfectly normal.
It's what I'm doing with F# and C#, for example.
Thanks! Glad it's helpful for you
Oh yeahhh, apparently, after learning one language, learning other languages is a lot easier, I remember hearing that
