Windows 11 is so completely bloated, plus the new file explorer just unusable with the new context menu. It also seems that you cannot use it without a microsoft account anymore?

Agreed. Linux is much user friendlier, especially for programming. I haven't tried win11 and I absolutely don't want to. Just using a VM (win10) to run xxl-editor is painful enough. Fucking windows is always TELLING ME TO CHANGE THE PASSWORD for some reasons... and I can't opt out.

wouldn't say so. a bit bloated ye, but I don't mind as I actually got some usefull things out of it. The new context menu isn't a problem imo and can also be reverted again. Iirc my windows version runs without a microsoft account. You just need to have your ethernet unplugged while installing it.
