Especially since, we rid this place of bad actors that soured the release period of XXLR back in the day... we had a lot to worry about and it made me play XXLR only once and then quietly move to other things not even Asterix related...

Ok, interesting! Actually, he wasn't at OSome with us, but we worked with Sylvain (from Passtech Games) who was also at Étranges, and then when we were at Virtuos Lyon, we worked on the BGE remaster with Marc (the game director of XXL 2) and Kevin (a developer who had joined Étranges for Olympic Games). It's a small world!
My brief involvement with XXLR had made me extremely positive about its future, i was basically naive and delusional. Some people, more grounded to earth, didn't like it. A chasm formed that my anxious self never managed to fix... That's how it is, so yes, there is another server for XXL nerds. I don't keep up with what they do.
It was weird times, for sure. Much before that, i managed to meet Gombino in paris for a lunch... gosh, i hate the picture i took with him, i still had my ugly ponytail!
He was so kind tho. he had managed to pass around a copy of XXL1 PC (original) and get it signed by a solid 30 or so devs before sending it to me, with a promotional disc "game presentation", likely meant for E3 use.
I'm curious to know who Gombino is, maybe I know him

Of course, these were ancient times related to OSome, but that was the important context of how i was pulled in

Now, my name is indeed in the credits, but I'm sometimes hesitant on how i should feel about it... a game that wasn't given a real chance to shine... while doing QA from home, i had reported many graphical errors, and some inadequate difficulty in the new challenges.
