Hello,
I've recently had a small problem with Asterix & Obelix XXL2. I downloaded the Polish version from a link posted on this channel https://discord.com/channels/1022945506021879889/1377175349204357191. After downloading the game, I launched it to check if everything was working. Then I decided to download the so-called 64-bit patch with Xinput support. The patch installation instructions required replacing the Gamemodule.elb file with the downloaded one. It turned out that there was no such file in the folder, but I put it in the folder anyway, as required. Unfortunately, just like before installing the patch, I still can't configure the right analogue stick in the game. I couldn't do it before installing the patch, and I still can't do it after installing it because the game doesn't detect the movement of this stick. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
Ps. One thing puzzles me. Why can't I have both the Widescreen Patch and the patch for Xinput controllers at the same time? Does it conflict in some way that one cannot be combined with the other? And is there possibly another option for the game to support both widescreen resolutions and detect the right analogue stick?

Maybe rename .exe file to Gamemodule.elb

I don't remember but i somehow managed to do it

Ok. I'll try

Because both the GameModules were made by different people, and never combined. As far as I remember, there has never been a proper patch for the right stick. For some people it just works 🤷

I'm stuck on this right now

Idk then
jedrzej231104
Never mind. I solved the loading problem. All I had to do was delete the SAVE folder.

However, one thing puzzles me. Would it be possible to transfer the Polish version files from the PC version to the PS2 version, overwriting another language, for example?
baku69
Maybe, but i have no idea how to do it
hesopesomeso
Without a special tool, no. You should have a look at the XXL-Editor.
jedrzej231104
is it normal?

baku69
Yeah
baku69
no worries, there is no virus, the thing is the file was modified in a way, that casual defender or other shit flags it, cause it doesn't know what the file is
thanasakis
and put it safe on the antivirus cause sometimes it auto deletes
thanasakis
it

I can believe this, as I know that often antiviruses detect something wrong, and I have had this happen several times. Additionally, as I edited XXL Romastered in HxD recently to fix the performance, after changing 3 bytes and saving it..... Norton detected that the file was infected xD

I decided to install the patch with Widscreen but in windowed mode, and the game looks like this. The image is somehow strangely compressed horizontally. Is there any way to fix this?
