Martyste TendertailThe menhir on the back cover clearly showed it was the last book at the time. Goscinny was still around.
Martyste TendertailCuriously, when Mrs. Geriatrix talks nicely to Obelix while he's being the richest in the village, her text was shown in pink... is it still the case nowadays?
Filip5011I can check
Filip5011Unless I'm blind, it isn't
Filip5011but I do remember seeing coloured speech bubbles in other comics, but I forgot which...
StinkekThere was a comic where a one-time character made people aggressive with his mere presence. Their speech bubbles would turn green.

Feder373In my 2005 edition it's just white. Pink was presumably representing sweet talking, which was later showed as flowers around the text.

Martyste TendertailWell that was colored text, not bubble
Martyste TendertailI can snap a pic...
Martyste TendertailI just found out a date written on one of the pages... It seems this copy of Obelix and co. was purchased around June 17th 1976. It was sent to my uncle when he was apparently in the hospital, likely as a pass-time. It says in there my mother hopes her brother comes home soon. It's unclear to me who wrote it. It could be my aunt, but neither my mom or grandmother due to the handwriting not matching.
Martyste TendertailSo, it was, *really* , a fresh print.
