| Stinkek | I feel like that bit of uniqueness with shields was lost |

| Mr.Rubinshtein | no shit |

| Martyste Tendertail | Checking how PCSX 2 has been improving now that its nightly version reached 1.7.2, testing a bunch of games.
This is better than before, but not perfect.
With Frame Buffer Conversion on, like on this image, the whole screen is colored correctly ( according to the software rendered ), however the typical KAL engine artifacts are still present ( much more tame than they used to be, covering 1/4th of the screen in a very distracting way ). |
| Martyste Tendertail | You can turn it off to get rid of the artifacts, but the screen will be very slightly tainted yellow. Looks better anyway! |
| Martyste Tendertail | Sadly, both XXL1, 2 and likely OG are still in need for a cheatcode to turn off that pesky interlacing.... |
| Mr.Rubinshtein | There is duckstation
Why people still use epsx its very old and loses by lot of parameters |
| Mr.Rubinshtein | |
| Stinkek | Isn't Duckstation only for PS1? |
| Stinkek | Oh wait |
| Stinkek | I haven't quite woken up yet |
| Mr.Rubinshtein | I think it supports ps1 and 2 |
| Stinkek | You kinda shifted topic |
| Mr.Rubinshtein | Not sure tho |
| Stinkek | Maybe Duckstation isn't shown around as much. I used ePSXe in my teens, but didn't know about Duckstation until Marty mentioned it. |
| Stinkek | Duckstation is indeed superior, lots of additional settings, including the possibility to change resolution and make the picture smoother |
| PegPeregoGaucho | PCSX2 is the only ps2 emulator |
| PegPeregoGaucho | There have been several attempts to make another one but PCSX2 is still unmatched |
| Martyste Tendertail | Duckstation is only PS1. |
