| schmeling65 | Ah okay. Then I am too far in the present xD |
| AdrienTD | Just what I needed Thanks! |
| PegPeregoGaucho | |
| schmeling65 | And that came up just because of my post lol |
| Martyste Tendertail | GBA emulators managed to create HD mode 7 after what SNES emulators did, however I don't think we can use any current emulator feature to increase the game's resolution. Might probably be doable with a decompilation instead ^^ |
| PegPeregoGaucho | Maybe this is also worth taking a look at https://github.com/mgba-emu/mgba/tree/master/src/gba/cheats |
| Martyste Tendertail | Whatever you do Adrien, you got all my support. |
| Martyste Tendertail | Yeah mGBA is the emulator who supports HD mode 7 |
| Martyste Tendertail | It makes Mario Kart look great on it ngl |
| AdrienTD | The game renders the scene directly into a 240x160 screen buffer, and it probably hardcoded to such resolution, so indeed there's no way of HDify it |
| AdrienTD | I already took a look at mGBA's code, but I think it's a pain in the ass to create codes, compared to Dolphin where you can create simple codes by providing address+value in a GUI |
| AdrienTD | And yes, I also have a cheat code for infinite potion for the GameCube version of XXL, if someone is interested |
| PegPeregoGaucho | There are cheat codes for the GC version? |
| PegPeregoGaucho | What about PS2/PC? |
| AdrienTD | Not a built-in cheat code, for the emulator |
| AdrienTD | However I've seen someone talk about a ingame cheat code for the PS2 version: |
| AdrienTD | https://www.jeuxvideo.com/forums/1-8688-2860448-1-0-1-0-0.htm |
| AdrienTD | Not sure if that one is real or fake |
| AdrienTD | Time to go to bed 😴 |
| SUPA BURORI | what are you making with gba XXL ? |
