sve_1991_that i can actually make a World Record attempt right now
yarnfangLol, so the bug was that if you use a completed save file and then restart it wouldn't update the values for those things blocking you? xD
yarnfangYeah, IMO banned lol
yarnfangBecause not done from a fresh save.
NoTeefy@yarnfang well we are not sure if it happens with a legit savefile of a completed run
NoTeefy@yarnfang the problem was that we all used a savefile to test things around before we started our runs in which Martyste experimented around by changing some values
NoTeefyWhich actually made that bug occur. I'm in the process of proving that it only happens from manipulated savefiles. Shouldn't be a problem with untouched ones - even if you completed everything
NoTeefyBut what I can already tell: If you wanna be on the safe side: Always delete your profile.ob in .../_save before you start a run
yarnfangBit of a hassle doing that for every run but makes sense
yarnfangThen again, you could make a program to do it for you pretty easily.
yarnfangA small Batchfile :)
NoTeefyor we could just tell the devs 😉
NoTeefyBut yeah, we'll wait till I can confirm it
yarnfang:)
NoTeefyI did a run this evening to make sure that I save all the relevant save files of every stage in the game
NoTeefyThe run actually went perfect, would have been a legit sub 2 hours run if I would have recorded it. Every freaking jump/skip worked on the first try
NoTeefyUnlucky but all for the research 😄
NoTeefyI'm going to analyze that differences now and I should be able to tell if it occurs when using a "proper" completed savefile
NoTeefyif that's the case we need to write a little script - not sure how the consoles would deal with that or if the bug even exists on them
NoTeefyotherwise we're fine and we should just make sure not to use corrupted savefiles before we do actual runs
